Above Knee Prosthetics
Daw SLK Knee
This state-of-of-the-art technology works by measuring a magnet traveling in space
(the magnet is in the knee cap). Since even a minute motion of the magnet is instantly recognized, gait control is instantaneous and accuracy is guaranteed.
First, the computer learns the amputee's slowest and fastest gait speed.
Then it takes that information and breaks it down into 11 categories.
Each time the amputee walks, the gait speed is recorded.
That's right... The SLK is memorizing & reacting to every step!
Once the on-board computer has had a chance to learn exactly how
the amputee walks & runs, the knee sets itself allowing the amputee the freedom
to go and conquer the world!
